What kind if opportunities are being missed right now because of the current political and cultural situation, particularly in terms of careers?

I have a degree in geology, but the work requires remote living away from where I like to be. I'm more social than I like to admit.

I am doing IT for a health care company and I get good benefits, but its not enough. I want to create something. I want to do something that gets us out of this mess. Writing is a a slow way to address certain things.

The education system is where much of the rot is. Should attempting to join a school board be the next avenue?

Teaching is out of the question, the programs are ideological mills and the schools themselves require similar commitments now.

We need new schools. What of the potential to crowd fund new educational organizations? Change the school model. Offer daycare where needed for the schooling but also provide means to learn from the home online if that's better. Its too unfeasible to expect a new school program to exist.

Maybe private tutoring is a possibility. Concerned about CRT and other? I'd most recently love to hear what a young mind sees when first reading animal farm or 1984 and develop discussions around it.

I just know that whatever do it has to be meaningful and those things feel meaningful in a way that a 9-5 certainly isnt.
